First let me welcome You on forum! Secondly I have to congratulate You on such a good taste - ALL the dog breeds that I would once have I loved Afghan, Boxadan kennel have wonderful puppies and I am so fascinated with their new litter (puppy toys). And as far as considering weimaraners, - Greydove - we have 2 females from that Australian kennel here in Croatia and they are perfect, and gave a lot of very well known puppies (now dogs).

Hello Calpus. Yes I like correct dogs and nice show dogs and good blood lines , and always every breed that I owned all these 19 years I am in dog world and dog shows I tried to be the best and from the best Blood lines , no matter how far these was!!!! I hope with these forum many people also they will change their mind and stop breed with their neighbor dog, but look the quality and try to find it where ever and how far it exist !!!!!! Hope all the SERIOUS breeders we will try to change the quality of the dachshunds in Europe for the better and Better. Just many of us has to stop be so "polite" and say WOW WOW to every picture they see a dog.....but focus, in the right details for the breed and the correct confirmation, for there dogs and there breeding programs....!!!! And I think that also some others they should stop bragging about their "Bonsai" dachshunds and try to look that even the bonsai ones they should have the right upper arm, the correct front and enough bone....ect. These forum I thing it exist NOT for being POLITE one to each other but to look what and how we all can improve in our dogs, with the right breeding plans......!!!! Hope many will agree with me..... I most certenly agree with You - in Croatia we have ONE (1!) stud dog for SW, and everybody was shocked when we mated our female in Poland with Revestreken Frikk - I was freak!!!
Studying bloodlines is my profession, so, with a little help from my friend we discuss and try to make our breed better in our little Croatia.
Hope that I can learn from You a lot as You are older and wiser then me with a lot of experience.

Thank you Ina, Yes I think she is very special, and has the correct type for a dachshund. This is the type I am working in my breeding. I hope I will be able to have some more dogs like her, with the right breedings.!!! I want to bred her mother again, and I am searching for the right black and tan male. Dimitris www.ygeiakennel.com

Ina , If I could, I would like to make this combination 3 more times.... not one more.....!!! But Unfortunately Annetta's Sire died in an accident some months ago, and I am very sad about it. He has produced some really outstanding kids, with super comfirmation , that have got great placements in USA shows, as National Winner of Dachshund Club of America,.... and Annetta Its one of his last one's....!!!! But Soon I am going back to the USA to get another nice male, that hopefully can produce the same good results. Have a Happy New Year Dimitris www.ygeiakennel.com

Hello Ygeia. My wife and i have lived in Souther Ireland for 10 years. When we lived in the UK we sent a black and tan male miniature smooth to a lady in Greece in 1994. His name was Cwmlas Olympic Flame. I belive he was a champion and went to a world dog show. Would you have any information on this dog? Love your silver dapples,we have bred and shown them since 1991. Peter

About Cwmlas Olympic Flame, I don't know the dog. I might have seen him alive, but I don't remember how might be. I know Alexandra the lady that had the kennel.
She stopped her dog show activities some years ago, due to some personal problems. So she is "lost" for more than 5 years, and nobody knows what happened with the dogs, I think might still have some where she lives , but the most of them must be dead or very old now.

Hello Tibor,
Thank you for your kind words !
I love it here in my "new" country. The dogs are a litle cold but they geeting use to it. For long long time, especially durring Dcember that was -17C, when I was taking them out in the garden, they wanted back inside the house in 30seconds ....hahaha But thy are better now. They will enjoy more later in the spring the garden, all the grass and the open space....!!!
Very nice to have you here in the forum.
All the best, Dimitris
